Tax & Accounting Built Around Your Industry
Specialized guidance for real estate investors, realtors, property management, quickbooks, private money, construction, and small business

Real Estate Investors
Building a real estate portfolio means navigating tax rules most CPAs only handle occasionally — 1031 exchanges, depreciation schedules, cost segregation, and the difference between active and passive income treatment can all make or break your returns. We help investors plan several moves ahead instead of just filing after the fact, so you're structuring deals, timing sales, and taking deductions in ways that actually protect what you've built. That means fewer surprises at tax time and a strategy that scales as your portfolio grows.

Realtors
Variable commission income makes quarterly taxes tricky — especially if you're also earning rental income or holding investment property, which is common for realtors who invest in what they sell. We help you manage both sides: planning around irregular commission timing and deductible expenses, plus the investor-side tax strategy that comes with owning property yourself. That means fewer scrambles at tax time and a plan that accounts for every source of income you actually have, not just your commission checks.

Property Management
Trust accounting, owner disbursements, and bookkeeping across multiple properties demand a level of precision that generic accounting software wasn't built for — one mismatched ledger can create real liability. We help property managers keep owner funds properly separated, disbursements accurate, and books audit-ready across every property in your portfolio. That means fewer compliance headaches and owners who trust that their money is being handled correctly.

Quickbooks Services
Messy or outdated books slow down everything from tax prep to getting a loan approved. As Certified Advanced QuickBooks ProAdvisors, we handle first-time setup, full cleanups, quick tune-ups to catch small errors before they snowball, or ongoing monthly support — making sure your QuickBooks stays accurate and audit-ready year-round, not just scrambled together each April. That means fewer surprises at tax time and real-time numbers you can actually trust to make decisions.

Small Business
The right entity structure, clean payroll, and proactive tax planning can be the difference between a business that scrapes by and one that actually keeps what it earns. We help small business owners set things up correctly from the start — or fix what wasn't — and stay ahead of tax season with planning that happens year-round, not just in April. That means fewer surprises, smarter decisions, and a CPA who's paying attention before problems show up, not just after.

Private Money
Lending your own capital comes with tax complexity that a typical CPA often misses — interest income has to be tracked precisely, loan portfolios need clean reporting, and secured lending carries its own tax treatment rules that differ from ordinary investment income. Whether you're funding a handful of deals a year or running an active lending portfolio, we make sure every loan is accounted for correctly and your reporting holds up if it's ever questioned. That means accurate books, correct tax treatment, and confidence that your lending income isn't quietly costing you more than it should.

Construction
Job costing, retainage, and multi-year contracts create accounting complexity that standard bookkeeping wasn't built to handle — get it wrong and it can quietly eat into your margins on every job. We help construction companies track costs accurately, manage retainage correctly, and stay compliant on long-term contracts so your numbers reflect what a project is actually earning, not just what's been invoiced. That means fewer year-end surprises and a clearer picture of which jobs are actually profitable.
Our Story
Our story began humbly in the living room of our founder, George Bauer, over 40 years ago. He had nothing more than a vision, passion, and a relentless determination to create a sustainable business that supported his family and realized his dream of business ownership.
He began building a client base of individuals and businesses that valued the service he provided — even when their paperwork came in with gravy or ketchup stains from the previous night's dinner.
In 1984, Bauer officially opened a CPA office in downtown Carmel, Indiana, sharing space with a maid service company. The hand-painted Bauer sign was raised for the first time that year — marking the start of what's grown into decades of trusted service for individuals and businesses across the country. Today, George continues that same hands-on, client-first approach that started it all, whether you're down the street or across the country.
